After World Cup 2006The World Cup gives many people enthusiasm, surprise and disappointment. To me, a pseudo-soccer-fan, Deutschland 2006 means souvenirs from Germany, support to Deutschland and all the gambling of football (within family). As soon as Top Four came out, we held a bet of the final champion. The rules are very simple. Every one chooses a team. If it turns out to be the champion, the chooser will be given a free dinner which paid by the other losers. If nobody wins, let’s go Dutch. And mom decided the restaurant- a Korean one called “Seoul”. So Mom picked Portugal, Dad Germany, as I was the last to choose, I chose France. So the result is Mom wins. But Dad and I were too busy these days and at last we went Seoul today. Korean BBQ is very very good~ We ordered grilled lamb (烤全羊), Pickle Scone (泡菜餅), Korean Cold Noodle ( 韓國冷面), Mixed Gold Mushrooms (拌金針菇), Korean Sake (淏川清酒), Pan-fried Croaker (煎黃花魚). They all very delicious, especially the grilled lamb, and lamb chops (烤羊排)are my favorite. Before our leaving, dad applied for a VIP card which meant he liked it too. And I took a picture in Korean-style Kimono(韓服). HaHa… What a eveningJ Made it~Just arrived home, finally have finished home-visiting every child of my class! Most of my pupils are very obedient which is to my great relief. Some seem like kidults (I mean, kids acting and talking like adults), who will behave well if led well.(Perhaps, maybe, I think so~)
And to memorize yesterday: kind of an anniversary. Japanese buffet as lunch and watched Superman Returns and ate OUR favorite chicken wings. A wonderful day~ To TracyI am always very proud of my little “Dog” Tracy~ She can do many things which I have never dreamed of. She can go to the West which I dare not. I accompanyed her to the train. “16.26 Chongqing” I see all the volunteers. I know they have their own “plans”. Volunteers don’t volunteer to do things nowadays. But still, I respect them for being braver than myself. Which makes me sad is I wonder what time I can see Tracy again, at least one year later… So that’s why I give you the DISH, and please DO make sure you take good care of yourself~
PS: Thanks to Tracy, I took a rather FULL view of new Shanghai South Station. (Another SSS, Sign…). It’s fantastic!!! Pre-Class-Teacher JobAfter being assigned as a class teacher of Grade Six, I have to leave Shangzhong Campus and work at Zhangjiang. (I feel a little bit cheated.) But my dream is to be a teacher, no matter how far the whereabouts isJ
Last weekend, I started my home-visiting job. There are 40 students in my class, most of which are living in Pudong New Area, so it’s a long way from home. And within Jul, I should call on every one of them!!! So on Sat. and Sun., I got up at 7.00 and left home at 8.00, every night, arrived at home no earlier than 22.00!!!
Such tiring job as this, it returns me much fun. So many strange faces and eager eyes looked like different fairies in Shakespeare’s Mid-Summer’s Night. Some are naughty, some are clever, some are quite, and some are talkative. Maybe one day I could become a good fairy queen, who could lead all of them and satisfy every little soulJ |
